Hounds Retreat is a working small business with dogs onsite at all times, including daycare, boarding, rescue, senior and reactive dogs.

All visitors must remain aware of their surroundings and follow all signage and safety guidance.

Any instructions given by a member of staff must be followed immediately.

This may include waiting in a designated area, giving space, securing your dog, or returning to your vehicle.

Q: How do I book?
A: Complete the Barn Member form on our home page and upload your dog(s)’ vaccination records — photos are perfectly fine. Once your submission is approved, you can log in and use our booking calendar

 

Q: Do you have parking on site?
A:  Yes, we have on-site parking for barn users.

Please note, the car park is shared with other visitors and open to the road, so dogs must stay on lead at all times until safely inside the barn.

 

Q: What type of surface is in the barn?
A:  Astro turf

Q: Are their stairs to the entrance?

A:  Yes their are steps leading up to the entrance of the barn and a metal bar on the bottom of the door frame. 

Please mind your step 

 

Q: Is the barn heated or lit?
A: The barn is fully covered and floodlit, making it suitable for use in all weather and throughout the year. It is not heated, so please dress appropriately in colder months.

 

Q: Are toilets available on site?
A: Coming soon

 

Q: Do you sell treats or other items?
A: Yes, we have a honesty box on site where you can buy treats. (Cash or QR code)

Q: Do you allow trainers or dog walkers to use the space?
A: Please contact us to discuss availability and any specific requirements. Professional trainers and dog walkers are very welcome to book and use the barn. Proof of insurance and up-to-date vaccinations for all client dogs are required.

 

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
A: Reschedule through your log in 

Q: What happens if I’m late?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot extend your session if you arrive late, as other users may have booked the next slot. Please arrive a few minutes early to make the most of your time.

 

Q: Do you provide water and poo bags?
A: Yes, we provide fresh water and poo bags on site. Please remember to bring your own bowls for your dogs.
